Rish narrates "The Infinite Onion" on The Way of the Buffalo podcast
And "buffalo" is one of those words I am physically incapable of spelling correctly. I can't really say why.*
Here's the link: http://wayofthebuffalopodcast.blogspot.com/2014/02/fiction-infinite-onion-by-david-steffen.html
Anyway, it's a very short story with a killer premise, and I hope David considers expanding the heck out of it someday, so he can explore it in more detail, maybe write a whole book around it.
I also hope that there's no such thing as Hell. Because an infinite onion would probably be waiting for me.

*Nor should I tell Hugh O'Donnell, who manages Way of the Bufalo, and was kind enough to ask me to do this.

Big and Rish perform "The Gold Bug" by Edgar Allan Poe
But wait, Marshal sat down with us afterward to talk about it, and a good time was had by all.
Of course, I may be lying. Check it yourself at this link: http://journeyintopodcast.blogspot.com/2014/02/journey-89-gold-bug-by-edgar-allan-poe.html
Journey on, kids.

That Gets My Goat 130: A Valentine's Day Post-Mortem
So, how did Big's Valentine's Day go? Did Rish even bother to celebrate it? The Dastardly Dunesteef Duo talk about what one of them refers to as "the worst day of the year." And as is befitting such a day, there be more profanity (and racial slurs) than usual in this one.

Rish's story "The Gold Bug" on Journey Into...
I nearly entered last year, but failed to do so, so I made sure to enter the next time I got the chance, remembering a time when our family traveled to California, and I saw the same car (with a dirty magazine in its window) both in Redlands and Santa Monica, California (despite the two hours distance between them). I knew that if I changed the car to a VW beetle, I could call the story "The Gold Bug."
So I did, and now it's available over there in audio form right now. It tells the tale of an eleven year old boy encountering a mysterious car on a family vacation, and is narrated by Pat Krane of the "That TV Show" and "Convert To Raid" podcasts.
I'm sure mine is not the best tale that could be made from the experience I had all those years ago, but Marshal seemed to like it enough to make it one of the winners of his contest (despite not knowing who the author was), so it's conceivable that someone out there will like it. That Gets My Goat 128: Saving Ank-Oatfield (on the go)
Since Big and Rish haven't been podcasting much, they must have been doing something else. Turns out they were watching movies instead of casting pods. They're still on their way to Vegas, on the go as it were, and they occupied their driving time speaking into microphones about a movie they saw called SAVING MR. BANKS.

Rish Performs "Kalin" (Dumarest 4) by E.C. Tubb on Audible
Originally published in 1969, in this adventure, Earl Dumarest travels to a trio of planets, still looking for the mythical Planet Earth, and ends up falling in love once again. This time, it's with Kalin, a red-haired beauty who can see the future.
I really do my darnedest on these Sci-Fi adventures, and it would be nice to know someone out there appreciates them. You can find the book at this link: http://www.audible.com/pd/Sci-Fi-Fantasy/Kalin-Audiobook/B00I08B7CE/ref=a_search_c4_1_1_srTtl?qid=1391109297&sr=1-1
This was the second-to-last book in my contract, and the last book is already recorded and waiting for production changes. I'm not sure what happens after that. Maybe I should grab up five more and produce them throughout 2014. Maybe I should try my hand on something else, a series with less than thirty books in it.
Time will tell.
