Fake Connery Sings!

Have you ever heard the recording of Sean Connery covering "In My Life" by the Beatles?

It's actually rather glorious.

However, Connery's sing/speaking style is not perfect for just any song. Take, for example, that "Since You've Been Gone" song by Kelly Clarkson that Big's daughters love so much (for some reason). I got Sir Fake Sean Connery to do a version of it, and it's just dreadful.

What other songs would it be a mistake to hear Sean "sing?"

Or rather, hear "Sean" sing?

  2. But seriously...

I think the type of songs that work best for this are the ballads. Especially the ones which read well as a poem if you are just looking at the lyrics. Elton John songs like "Your Song" or "Rocket Man" would probably work well (and yes, I've seen Shatner's rendition of "Rocket Man" and I was squirming the whole time.)
