Uh oh, looks like Rish is courting controversy again. A bit of hullabaloo has been made concerning superhero movie casting, and the question gets asked...am I racist?

I have no problem casting any race in almost any role.

Captain America- Should be from the US
Characters who embody the National Identity should be from that country.
I think that thought should be put into what ethnicity meant for the original character. Then when the new version is made, ethnicity should be used in a similar way.
ReplyDeleteSort of like translating poetry into another language. You can't just do a literal translate of the words, you have to translate the meanings, the intentions, and the word play.
