Rish's Voice On "My Clockwork Valentine" On HorrorAddicts

Rish here.  Now it's time has come to say goodbye to all our company.  I contributed my voice to "My Clockwork Valentine," the last one of the HorrorAddicts story presentations Emerian Rich asked me to do.  She works harder than an armless juggler, kids.

I voice a character pretty much exactly like me, a malevolent scheming villain with a Cajun accent, with designs on Blanche, a girl with a clockwork pacemaker.  Check it out HERE.

Rish's Voice on "Mowbot" on HorrorAddicts

Rish here.  Once again, I contribute a voice (or two) to the tireless Horror Addicts podcast.  This time, it's for the story "Mowbot," written by Dana Hammer (how cool a name is that?  More a private detective or professional wrestler name, do you think?).

Here's a question: Would you spend three thousand dollars for a lawn mower that ran itself, maintained itself, and could think for itself?  And what if the neighbor's cat disappeared a day later?

Check it out HERE.

Rish and Big's Voices On Journey Into...

Marshal "George R.R." Latham has finally gotten out the winner of his "Journey Into Journey" contest from a couple of years ago onto his podcast.  It's called "Backtalk" by R.C. Anderson, and is presented as an episode of a fictional podcast about interference on communications channels in old NASA missions.

Both Big and Rish do voices in it, as well as Renee Chambliss, Josh Roseman, Gino Moretto, and Algar Van Cluth (who mostly grunts).   Anyway, check it out HERE.

Rish's Voice on "The Road Ends At The Sea"

Rish here.  It's always a treat when I get invited to participate in a Campfire Radio Theater, John Ballentine's fully-produced audio drama series.

In this one, "The Road Ends At The Sea," based on a story by Tim Wynne Jones, I play Paul, the man who married our hero's lost love, who lives at Purgatory Point, a lighthouse at the end of the sea . . . and something else.

Hey, I did a Canadian accent in this one.  Not that you can tell.  Check it out AT THIS LINK.

Rish's Voice on "Haus" on HorrorAddicts

Rish here.  Once again, Emerian Rich over at HorrorAddicts had me do the adult male voices in a story, this one "Haus," by Garth Von Buchholz.  A group of four robbers break into a house with a futuristic security system . . . but how many will make it out again?

Check it out HERE!

Rish's Voice on "Deathly Fog" on HorrorAddicts

Rish here.  Once again, Emerian Rich has tasked me with voicing a character or two on the HorrorAddicts podcast.  This time, it's "Deathly Fog," by Adam Breckenridge.  I get to do a kid character, horrified at a supernatural fog that changes those that breathe it in.

It's a story in a whole episode with a fog theme.  Check it out HERE!

Rish Performs "Man-size In Marble" on Tales of Terror

Rish here.  You know me, right?  You know that, if somebody asked, I'd do a story reading for them for free, as long as they gave me time to get it done.  But recently, Tales of Terror contacted me to perform "Man-size In Marble," a short story I'd never heard before.  And when I looked it up, and found that it was written by Edith Nesbit, well, between you and me . . . I probably would've paid them to narrate it.

A year or so ago, I had no idea who E. Nesbit was.  And then I got to reading her short stories, and now, well, I'm so much a fan that I am considering putting out a collection of my readings of her stories, in case anybody's interested, even if it profits me nothing.  Because wow, these stories really, really speak to me.  Check it out HERE.

Rish Narrates "What Cats & Dragons Do" on CatsCast

Rish here.  I'm known, far and white, as a real cat person.  So it was no surprise they asked me to perform "What Cats (and Dragons) Do" by KT. Bryski over at the CatsCast podcast, a show that runs only stories about cats.

It's about a sly cat who tricks a big, naive dragon into doing his bidding, and unfortunately, the voice I chose to do for the dragon did a real number on my voice.  But them's the breaks and why they pay me the big buck.  Check it out HERE!

Oh, and I did get to make a reference to Rum Tum Tugger in my author introduction that the poor host was (pretty much) forced to read.  So that's fun.

Marshal and Rish Review THE ADAM PROJECT

Rish here.  Do you have Netflix?  Did you see Ryan Reynold's newest flick, THE ADAM PROJECT?  Well, so did Marshal Latham and I.

And if you're interested in hearing me complain about the (perfectly-cromulent) movie for an hour, check out THIS LINK over at the Outfield Excursions podcast at the Journey Into... page.

Rish's Voice on HorrorAddicts' "Audition"

Rish here.  Once again, my voice is in a story over at HorrorAddicts.net.  This one was called "Audition" and was written by Naching T. Kassa.

It's about a young man trying out to be part of a Rock band, but finding out there's a particular supernatural requirement for joining.  Check it out HERE.

Rish's Voice on HorrorAddicts' "Mr. Shingles"

Rish here.  My voice is on this month's Horror Addicts podcast, which somehow manages a long, extensive episode every month.  This time, it's "Mister Shingles" by J. Malcolm Stewart, in which four boys have an encounter with a creature called a Dokkaebi that may or may not be able to cure their sister's sickness.

I voice multiple characters in "Mister Shingles:" Dante, Bone, Driver, Pastor, and Dad.  You could do worse.

Rish's Voice on HorrorAddicts' "Maudaleen"

Rish does a voice on the spooky story "Maudaleen" by Kevin Ground.  It's part of the HorrorAddicts show, narrated by Emerian Rich, toward the end.

Check it out HERE.

Big Tells Marshall and Rish About Galaxy's Edge

Rish here.  I finally got our conversation edited where Big Anklevich tells Marshal Latham and me about "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge" at Walt Disney World.  It's in the newest "Delusions of Grandeur" episode.

Check it out HERE.

Rish Performs "My Hilt Itches" on Cast of Wonders

Rish here.

Underachiever much?  I was recently given the Comic Fantasy story "My Hilt Itches" by Sydney Rivers to narrate over at the Cast o' Wonders podcast.  I voice a sword, so it must be Monday.

Well, get this: the author of the story is sixteen years old.  When I was sixteen years old, I wasn't a published author, unless you count drawing obscene parodies of Gumby and Pokey that got confiscated by my teacher and spread among the teaching staff.

Anyway, it's about an enchanted sword and his less-than-valiant owner.  Check it out HERE.

Rish Performs "The Black Cat" on Journey Into...

Rish here.  Every year in January (or thereabouts), Marshal Latham has Edgar Allan Poe Month on the Journey Into... podcast.  And this year, I sent him a reading I did this past summer of his classic tale "The Black Cat."  So, it was only natural that he let me ruin the episode itself by my presence as a guest host.

Check it out HERE!

Marshal and Rish Review THE SKULL (1965)

Rish and Marshal Latham and have their bi-monthly movie review podcast, "Outfield Excursions," and there's another episode available.  This is for the 1965 Amicus production of THE SKULL, starring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee.

Now might be a good time to remind you that, like the skull of the Marquis de Sade, their podcast is also cursed.

Check it out HERE.
