Rish on "Strange Stories" (just not for strange listeners)

Rish here.  I wanted to share this because I recorded it a long time ago (no idea when) and heard it today, and quite enjoyed it.

I lent my voice to the "Strange Stories" audio drama series that Mike Murphy writes and produces over there at the Twilight Audio Theatre.   The episode "We All Scream" seems to have dropped recently.  In it, I play a parapsychologist who is now institutionalized after investigating a haunted house, and was the only survivor of his group.

Mike Murphy writes tons of audio dramas, and I've lent my voice to a few of them.  But it's rare that I'm given quite this much scenery to chew, and hopefully my acting is so over that top that it comes back to good again.  Up to the listener to decide, I suppose.

Strangely, I couldn't find the website that hosts the show, but the file itself was embedded on Facebook, and I'll embed it here. Give it a listen, if ye like.  I thought it was pretty good stuff.

In a first, Big and Rish decide to podcast in the parking lot directly after having seen IRON MAN 3.  First, they talk about what movies they are most excited about this summer, Big repeats his Theory Of Sequels, and then they begin on this biggest (and bestest?) Iron Man adventure.  Warning: Spoilers and Microphone Noise.

Rish Performs "Killer Advice" Over On Audible

Rish here.  As I mentioned a week or two back, I auditioned for and got the job to narrate two stories by Kristine Kathryn Rusch.  The first was "Case of the Vanishing Boy," which was quite short.  The second was longer, was called "Killer Advice," and is now available for purchase over at Audible.com.

This even has cover art with my name on it, which makes me smile inside.

"Killer Advice" is a mystery story set on a space station.  There are several characters, each of which get their own POV chapters.  A ship docks after a series of unfortunate deaths onboard, and everyone leaves the ship . . . then the deaths continue.  I suppose this could be classified as a Detective story (as could the other one I read), but I don't think I had ever read a Science Fiction Mystery before now.

Ms. Rusch's writing skills are really developed, and I really appreciated her talent as I performed this one.  Maybe you will too, if you want to check it out at this link: http://www.audible.com/pd/ref=sr_1_1?asin=B00CAXWUHG&qid=1366481006&sr=1-1

When the weather starts getting warm, Big and Rish often go on walks at night during their podcasting visits. Now, through the magic of technology, you can follow them on their meander through the hills and neighborhoods, talking about shooting stars, suburbia, dinosaurs, Big's childhood, and makeout games. Just listen to them gasp!

It's Still the First of May (Cleaner)

We asked Fake Sean Connery if he could perform Jonathan Coulton's ode to springtime with a bit less filth.  He gave it his best attempt.

Warning: singing.

It's the First of May, kids!

Fake Sean Connery is certainly in the festive spring mood.  Warning: filth.

Soon to be available in a clean-ish version. I wonder if we should ask Fake Roger Moore to record that one.
